3-Day Master Workshop Class dates: (4/13, 4/20 & 4/27)
Workshop taught by TYLER GREEN As Seen on SyFy's FACE OFF. The main objective of this workshop is to give a beginner the tools and techniques to understand and master a variety of special-effects looks that are being used in the industry today.
Day 1: Injury 101
Using Tyler’s signature Mini Monster Airbrush, students will learn proper airbrushing techniques, how to apply the provided 3D transfers, and using silicone as a build-up medium to create wounds with a realistic effect. Students will be exposed to the latest professional materials that are used in the industry today, in addition to learning:
● Airbrush Etiquette
● Fundamentals of 3D Transfers
● 3D Burns
● Bruising
● Safety & Prosthetic Removal
Day 2: Prosthetic Application Part I
Using provided foam latex appliances, students will learn how to pre-paint their prosthetic in preparation for application. Students will gain an understanding of:
● Preparing a Foam Latex Prosthetic for Application
● Application Techniques
● Blending Edges
● Airbrushing Techniques
● Safety & Foam Latex Prosthetic Removal
Day 3: Prosthetic Application Part II
Students will learn how to apply their pre-painted prosthetics and add finishing touches for a complete camera-ready look that takes their character to a professional level. Students will learn about:
● Character Last Looks
● Hair & Wig Styling
● Wardrobe & Costume Design
● Getting Character ready for Camera
